On the archaeological site of Eikab, near Luxor, in Egypt, a Belgian archaeological team discovered an impressive mastaba (a tomb, forerunner of the pyramids). Tons of sand are blocking the well leading to the funeral chamber of a high-ranking dignitary of Ancient Egypt. The tomb has been protected for thousands of years and there are strong indications that its treasures are intact. The film presents the team setting out to clear the well and penetrate into the funeral chamber. Has it been violated? We were there to witness the opening of the grave…
