According to the myth, some pirates from Karpathos went to Olympos mountain and ubducted the gods. That is the reason why they were named Arpatheoi (from the greek αρπάζω, meaning ubduct). They brought them to their island, called Arpathos and settled them on the highest mountain of the island, named Olympos.
This myth was the reason for us to go to the “Gods’ village” and get to know its people.
